Occupational Health Services

Health screenings

Health assessments aim to give an individual an understanding of their current health status and future health risks, as well as some tests designed to detect disease. Knowledge of future health risks may enable the individual to take appropriate steps to minimise the likelihood of developing illness.

Early detection of some diseases may enable earlier treatment and a better outcome. In today’s highly stressful environment, many companies view health screening as one of their most popular executive benefits and they are highly valued by qualifying employees.

Health screens can form part of a wellness in the workplace programme and may help reduce absences later on by drawing an individual’s attention to a potential health issue to allow them to take preventative measures.

Employee Assistance Programmes

Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP’s) are employee benefit programmes offered by many employers.

EAP’s are intended to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health and well-being. EAP’s generally include assessment, short-term counselling and referral services for employees and their immediate family.
